I would just like to point out that there is no difference. that's a minecraft.jar file which you can download mc from the mc site then replace the jar PC or MAC. Another thing I don't think you should post the .jar on the site. breaks the mojang distribution and whatnot rules. I'll leave the instructions up for people to follow but we can't have the .jar posted here.
